Biography
Leader of the National Uprising
For over four decades, Prince Reza Pahlavi has been working towards achieving legal, political, and religious equality for Iranians, under a new, democratic and accountable government. In this effort, he acts as a link among freedom-seeking Iranians.
Birth and Coronation
Born on October 31, 1960 in Tehran, son of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi and Shahbanu Farah Pahlavi. He was officially proclaimed Crown Prince of Iran on October 26, 1967 during the coronation ceremony of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi.
Youngest Jet Fighter Pilot
From age 13 he began flight training, and in 1977 completed his first solo flight in an F-5 fighter jet at Dezful Air Base, becoming Iran's youngest pilot.
Exile, Education & Family
He completed advanced jet training in Texas in 1978 and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Southern California in 1985. Fluent in Persian, English and French. Married Yasmine Etemad-Amini in 1986; the couple have three daughters — Noor, Iman and Farah Pahlavi.
Accepting Leadership
On November 15, 2024, Prince Reza Pahlavi announced he was ready, at the request of his compatriots, to lead the national revolution and guide Iran through the transition — introducing his five-pillar strategy to liberate the Iranian people.
